Remodeling company Hometown Restyling has introduced a new brand identity and website to reflect the company’s reputation as an established and sought-after company in Eastern Iowa.

The new logo enhances the “H” in the company’s name to reflect its journey from start to finish on every project, from windows, doors, siding and sunrooms to patio covers, decks, kitchens and bathrooms.

“Our industry has many large, corporate remodeling companies whose employees and leaders don’t live and work in the communities they serve,” co-owner and marketing director David Wilslef said. “Hometown is in our name for a reason. We know the names, friends, and family members we work with. We are here before and after the remodeling project is done.”

Hometown Restyling has seen a steady increase in customers who are intentionally seeking out a local remodeler, according to a news release. In 2020, the company expanded its workforce by 25% following the derecho and pandemic and has kept up the momentum ever since, earning Fastest Growing Company designation in the Corridor for the past two years.

“Many of our competitors subcontract out a lot of their work,” said Brad Winn, Sunroom manager and co-owner. “We try to do that as little as possible, which is why we’re able to employ so many people locally. We’re proud of that.”

The company was founded nearly 40 years ago by Wayne Winn, operating out of a rented shop in Hiawatha before moving to its current location at 1205 N. Center Point Rd. Hometown Restyling employs over 85 people and serves within a 90-mile radius of Cedar Rapids.

In the past two years, the company has evolved its ownership group to include five local owners with a combined 146 years of experience working for the company.

“It’s an exciting time,” said co-owner and president Tom Casey. “All of our owners have come up through the ranks of this company, using their passions and talents to make us better year after year. We have a shared vision that’s focused on continuing our decades-long reputation of customer service first.”

Hometown Restyling said the time involved to evolve the brand has allowed it to take a step back and remind itself of all of the ways the company changed and grew over the decades.

“Last year we started working with Meld Marketing in Iowa City to understand how to tell our story and evolve our brand,” Mr. Wilslef said. “Along the way, we discovered a lot of photos of our history, found thank you notes from longtime customers, and took the time to take this next step in our evolution by bringing our entire team together to celebrate our new look. It’s a great way to start 2024.”
