The program, established in 2019, is designed to support Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Cedar, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington counties.

The application process will be open Jan. 15-Feb. 15. Qualified organizations, registered non-profits, churches, schools, families and individuals are invited to apply for a monetary donation to support their cause. Recipients will be notified by the end of February, with the donations being awarded in early March.

“For more than 80 years, New Leader Manufacturing has been committed to giving back and improving the lives of those around us,” said Rocki Shepard, CEO of NLM, in a news release. “The Spreading Good program builds on that foundation, helping to create vibrant communities where our employees work and live, and supporting causes we know will help make a difference in peoples’ lives.”

Since its inception, NLM has donated more than $1 million to local and global initiatives and reached dozens of organizations.
