Corridor Corporate Games (CCG), a project of the Iowa Sports Foundation and the Iowa Games, has opened registration for its seventh annual event, taking place May 30 through Aug.1, 2025.
Last year’s games saw an increase of 1,000 individual participants compared to the year before, representing 36 different companies. Officials anticipate additional growth for 2025 and have limited the number of companies to 50 “to provide the best experience possible,” a release stated.
“The Corridor Corporate Games is entering its seventh summer in 2025!” said Chuck Long, CEO and executive director of the Iowa Sports Foundation. “Over the course of the last 6 years, we’ve conducted hundreds of events for thousands of participants. To witness the way the Corridor Corporate Games has positively impacted the culture of participating companies has been extremely rewarding. We’re looking forward to this summer and highly encourage you to get registered in the race to seize the cup!”
Spanning evenings and weekends in June and July, the games feature more than 20 events, ranging from competitive team sports to non-competitive activities, including online challenges that can be completed at work or home.
Participating companies will be grouped into divisions based on size, with points awarded for sport/event placement, participation, and volunteer contributions. The highest-scoring companies in each division will receive special recognition, with division winners earning the Corporate Games Cup.
According to the release, entry fees, covered by participating companies, are scaled to reflect the number of employees in the Corridor region. Employees participate at no personal cost.
Division winners from 2024 include GreatAmerica Financial Services, TrueNorth Companies and Basepoint Wealth.
“We love the enthusiasm and collaboration the Corridor Corporate Games creates both in Corda Credit Union and in the community,” said Anna Salter, member services representative and wellness committee chair for Corda Credit Union.
“CCG does an outstanding job of organizing activities everyone can enjoy, such as volunteering, fishing, virtual events, track, and, yes, even drinking water! We highly recommend keeping active, healthy, and happy by participating in the games!”
Registration is limited to the first 50 companies. For more information or to register a company, visit www.corridorcorporategames.org.
