Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa (PCI) is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
In 1997, Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa began as a small group of physicians who wanted to create an independent, physician-owned medical group for the community. Five separate clinics signed an agreement to work together cooperatively under the umbrella name of Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa. Those clinics included Iowa Medical Clinic, PC; General Surgeons, PC; Surgical Specialists, PC; Eastern Iowa Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, PC; and Linn County Urology, PC.
Today, the specialty medical center has grown to over 100 physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other providers.
“We deeply value our patients and their experiences with us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to meet the healthcare needs of our community for 25 years,” said Eric Dalton, chief executive officer at PCI. “Whether we are investing in economic development, technological advancements, strategic partnerships, or tools to increase patient satisfaction, our pursuit of health care excellence sets us apart as one of Iowa’s health care leaders.”
In recent years, PCI has constructed two medical pavilions at its campus and expanded to include additional clinical services.
“PCI has always focused on the changing health care needs of our community,” Mr. Dalton said. “Our organization remains nimble and able to quickly adapt to fill health care gaps as they arise.”
