Five Corridor businesses make Inc. 5000 fastest growing list

Corridor businesses based in Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Hiawatha, Iowa City and Urbana have been named to Inc. Magazine’s 2022 list of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

The five companies accounted for a median growth of 164%, approximately 4,086 jobs added and included two repeat honorees.

Ready Wireless, a telecommunications service and go-to provider for IoT solutions, was the top-ranked Iowa company on the list. They were ranked number 282, with 1,961% revenue growth over the past three years.

MCI had the second highest growth in the Corridor with 436%. The call center has locations in Iowa City, West Des Moines and Sioux City. MCI was named the CBJ’s Fastest Growing Company in 2018 with 269.89% growth.

ProCircular and their team of cybersecurity experts can claim 164% growth. Last June, CEO Aaron Warner was named the CBJ’s 2022 TLC Entrepreneur of the Year.

Freight brokerage firm BLX Expedited Carriers in Hiawatha grew 111% in the logistics and transportation sector. BLX was the CBJ’s Fastest Growing Company in 2019 with 1,264% growth that year. 

Clickstop rounded out Corridor businesses on the list at number 4,944 in the rankings. They experienced 82% growth and recently expanded to Simpsonsville, South Carolina.

Companies were ranked on the list according to percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021, and must have been founded and generating revenue by March 2018. The minimum revenue required for 2018 is $100,000 and $2 million by 2021.
