Best Event/Banquet Venue: DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex


An outstanding staff and top-flight food helped lift the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Complex to its third win atop the Best Event/Banquet category, according to Susan Koch, director of sales and marketing.

A prime landmark in downtown Cedar Rapids, the complex boasts 82,000 square feet of meeting space, a 267-room hotel and the 9,000-seat U.S. Cellular Center, allowing to it host everything from concerts to state athletic tournaments. Special life moments are also frequently celebrated at the DoubleTree, including graduations, weddings and anniversaries.

Regardless of the size of the event, the convention center’s staff always works to put guests first, Ms. Koch said. Guest surveys consistently report that staff members offer top-notch service, with service scores higher than any other Hilton-branded hotel of its size.
