The Hotel at Kirkwood Center will reopen its doors to guests beginning on Monday, with an updated look and new safety procedures.

The opening comes 74 days after the building was closed as a precautionary step in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19. Added safety measures will include increased cleaning and disinfection efforts, especially in high-traffic areas, more antibacterial hand sanitizers and the enforcement of social distancing guidelines.

The hotel will also debut a new lobby, along with updates to guest rooms, the conference area, patio, bar and the Class Act restaurant, which were all redone as part of a six-month renovation project. General Manager Jackie Bohr said the renovations will give the space a “more collaborative, modern feel” while also making people “feel at home.”

“The staff and I are thrilled to be able to serve our guests again,” Ms. Bohr said in a release. “The past few weeks have been tough on all of us. We have a lot of pride in how we take care of those who step through our doors. It’s what we do. With the building closed, it’s been a difficult time. It will feel really good to be able to serve the needs of our guests again and we’re really looking forward to it.”

The doors to The Hotel will open at 8 a.m. Monday. Reservations are now being taken at www.thehotelatkirkwood.com. CBJ
