Revology has announced an agreement with Hancock Health to expand their existing partnership into a multi-year contract, as stated in a revology news release from last week. Under the agreement, revology will oversee Hancock Health’s revenue cycle management (RCM), implement its software platform, âauxo,â and transfer over 50 Hancock employees to revology.Â
This partnership follows revology’s previous efforts to help Hancock Health increase cash collections, resulting in an additional $10 million in revenue. Based out of Iowa City, revology is an RCM technology and service provider for hospitals, health systems, and physician groups.Â
Hancock Health, an independent health care network in Indiana, selected revology to manage its RCM operations. As stated in the release, Hancock will rely on revologyâs auxo platform to bring increased transparency, automation, and efficiency to its revenue cycle processes.Â
Auxo optimizes claims follow-up by using advanced analytics for daily claim refreshes, allowing users to prioritize high-value claims, the release states. It also integrates electronic health records and payer website data into a unified workspace, offering performance metrics while adapting to changing payer conditions. The latest version of auxo includes an AI-powered chatbot that provides guidance for claim processing.
âIn a short time, revology â and its RCM technology, auxo â have identified opportunities to better manage our workforce and have adjusted workflows, bringing transparency and increased productivity that we never had previously,â said Steve Long, Hancock Health president and CEO, in the release. âAuxo has significantly impacted our organization, including a 6.7-day improvement in overall days in A/R and a nearly 9% improvement in A/R over 90 days. I continue to be impressed by the teamâs productivity using this tool and their ability to continue to collect more revenue over time. I look forward to continued success with auxo and revology in the years to come.â
As part of the agreement, more than 50 Hancock Health employees specializing in credentialing, coding, insurance, revenue integrity, payment posting, and support services will transition to revology in early November.Â
âHancock Health is a valued client partner and a modern example of how providers can leverage advanced technologies to improve their RCM operations,â said Chris Klitgaard, founder and CEO of revology, in the release. âAuxo automatically surfaces the highest priorities to both users and leaders, ensuring that the entire team is working on the organizationâs most valuable claims at any given time. It removes the guesswork, making revenue cycle management intuitive and collaborative, which has resulted in millions of dollars in cash collections for our customers.â
