Iowa Utilities Board launches new website

Redesigned site provides resources to help connect more consumers, stakeholders

The Iowa Utilities Board has launched a redesigned website to help connect more Iowans to the agency and its utility-related information.

The site, at iub.iowa.gov, features a refreshed look with expanded content presentation capabilities and quick links to assist utility customers, industry stakeholders and the general public.

The homepage features navigation options to browse docket information in the IUB’s electronic filing system and other information in IUB 24/7.

The overall redesign is intended to improve the user experience with new ways to locate information about utility assistance programs; Iowa’s One Call law; IUB public meetings, hearings and live-streaming events; and to reach the IUB Customer Service Department to file a comment, objection, or letter of support in an open docket pending with the IUB, or to file a complaint about utility service. Users will also find the latest IUB news on the homepage and can subscribe to receive news releases and quarterly newsletters by email.

The refreshed site continues to be mobile responsive to adapt the display to any user device, whether desktop, smartphone or tablet.

Although the new IUB website has the same web address, users who have bookmarked pages may need to update frequently accessed pages.

For questions about the new website, contact IUB Communications Director Don Tormey at don.tormey@iub.iowa.gov. For questions about utility service or filing comments in open dockets pending before the IUB, contact IUB Customer Service at 515-725-7300 or itsupport@iub.iowa.gov.

The Iowa Utilities Board regulates utilities to ensure that reasonably priced, reliable, environmentally responsible, and safe utility services are available to all Iowans.
