The Early Bird Café in downtown Cedar Rapids retains its multi-year perch as Best Coffee Shop for Business in the Corridor. The popular café, now open in the renovated Smulekoff’s building, offers breakfast and lunch menus, along with coffees, teas, smoothies and, their most recent addition, Dan & Debbie’s Ice Cream. General Manager Brooke Fitzgerald said the Early Bird appeals to businesspeople because of its vibrant atmosphere and solid customer service. “We’ve created a networking and positively connected environment,” she said. “Everyone feels at home when they are here, and they can’t help but see a few people that they know.”
