Anne Dugger named executive director of Catherine McAuley Center

A new executive director is at the helm of the Catherine McAuley Center.

The board of directors appointed Cedar Rapids native Anne Dugger to the position “effective immediately,” according to a release.

Ms. Dugger has been with the organization since 2015 and has served as its interim executive director since May 2024. Prior to stepping into the interim position, she led CMC’s Education Services and Refugee & Immigrant Services departments.

“I am honored to officially be the Executive Director of CMC,” Ms. Dugger said. “Leading this team through the past years in several roles has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I look forward to where we can take this organization in the future.”

“We are grateful for Anne’s demonstrated leadership and service to the mission of the Catherine McAuley Center,” said Lori Weih, board chair. “Having previously led several areas of the organization, she has a strong operational knowledge of the organization, people leadership with the incredibly talented team, and a deep passion for the clients and community. Through the collective leadership of Anne and the team, CMC is well positioned to further our mission in the community we serve.”

Ms. Dugger holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Coe College and a Master of Education with a focus on Teacher Leadership from Mount Mercy University.
