“We understand that most individuals and businesses have multiple financial services needs and we believe that a holistic approach serves them best,” Abby Johnson, Hawkins’ director of client services, stated in an email.
The company employs five people.
“Everyone in our office truly loves what they do, which makes it such a positive place to be,” Ms. Johnson stated. “It doesn’t feel like ‘work;’ it’s such a fun place to be.”
The company was founded by Tim Hawkins, who helped start HJR Financial Group, which was named Best Personal Investment Services Firm last year by Corridor Business Journal readers.
A young company, Hawkins Wealth Management is growing, and hiring.
“We are growing at a steady rate and are always looking for high quality people to add to our staff,” Ms. Johnson stated.
One employee stated in a Coolest Places survey,
“We have offsite meetings, for example, for our annual goal meeting, we rent out the master suite at the Riverside Casino and collaborate with all team members to come up with ways to improve our business and celebrate what we are doing well.”
While another said,
“We have a very flexible schedule, so we can go to kids’ doctor appointments, school events or stay home when there is no daycare. Our cell phones are covered under the company plan which is a huge plus. Hawkins Wealth Management doesn’t feel like a job. It feels like I get paid to hang out with great friends.”
