TrueNorth announces that Benefits Principal and Practice Leader Kyle Mertz has assumed the role of executive vice president of the benefits division, effective today.
“Our benefits team has been on an exciting journey over the last 20 months,” Jason Smith, TrueNorth president and CEO, stated in a release. “We have added new talent, developed new technology and created innovative solutions. This is an exciting chapter in our journey as a firm, as Kyle will be our first executive vice president of a division that is not based in our headquarters, rather leading from our office in Des Moines.”
As executive vice president of TrueNorth’s Benefits division, Mr. Mertz will oversee the strategic direction of the division, including business development, innovation and leadership and colleague advancement, all pointing toward maximizing our benefits and workforce solutions.
Mr. Mertz has been in the insurance industry since 2006. He joined TrueNorth in 2012 with the merger of Frank Berlin & Associates.
