Transamerica life insurance products recently received awards among their competitors by several national publications.

Among the accolades, Transamerica was called out by Business Insider for “faster underwriting and processing times than its competitors.”

USA Today noted that some Transamerica life insurance policies include living benefits at no additional cost. The news organization analyzed 15 leading life insurance companies to help consumers select the best life insurance company and policy to meet various financial goals and budgets. Transamerica was given an A (Excellent) rating for term life, whole life, indexed universal life and final expense policies.

Forbes Advisor included Transamerica products on their “Best of” lists for buyers in their 50’s, reliable policy illustrations and no exam categories.

And CNN Underscored’s March list of best life insurance companies called out Transamerica as top for accurate performance predictions and minimal coverage options.

Transamerica currently serves 30.4 million customers in the U.S. and employs more than 6,500 people across the country, but its largest single employee base is in Cedar Rapids, with nearly 2,500 employees.

The company maintains a large office at 6400 C St. SW, just north of Kirkwood Community College. Other major offices are located in Baltimore, Maryland; Denver, Colorado; Canton, Massachusetts; Harrison, New York; Knoxville, Tennessee; Plano, Texas; St. Paul, Minnesota; and St. Petersburg, Florida. Additional affiliated offices are located throughout the United States.

Transamerica was founded in San Francisco in 1904, and its iconic pyramid tower still serves as a symbol of innovative thinking.
