Surgery Center Cedar Rapids, 1075 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, has appointed Elly Steffen, FACHE, MHA, MPH as executive director.
According to a news release, Ms. Steffen was previously chief operating officer for the Eastern Iowa Health Center, chief executive officer for UnityPoint Health–St. Luke’s Hospital’s Continuing Care Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital’s senior project manager/consultant, and chief operating officer for Waverly Health Center in Waverly, Iowa. She most recently served as founder and CEO of Finding Forward Business Coaching and Consulting, specializing in the health and wellness Industry.
Ms. Steffen is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. She graduated from Wartburg College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received her Master of Hospital and Health Administration and Master of Public Health Policy and Planning from the University of Iowa.
