Uptown Marion will be hosting the Uptown Real Estate Showcase event Thursday, May 2, designed to highlight opportunities for entrepreneurs, prospective business owners, and aspiring building owners in Uptown Marion.
The showcase will provide attendees with district updates and tours of current renovations, new construction, and other available properties in Uptown Marion for purchase or lease.
The event is set for May 2 from 4-6 p.m., beginning at the MEDCO (Marion Economic Development Corporation) office at 1107 Seventh Ave. in Marion. A welcome and program will begin at 4 p.m., followed by property tours from 4:15 to 6 p.m. and a networking event from 5-6 p.m. at Goldfinch Tap + Eatery.
“Many of the properties on the tour have been undergoing renovations from the derecho or redevelopment and are now market ready, said Brooke Prouty, Uptown Marion Program Director, in a release. “We will also be featuring some unique spaces that have been recently renovated or repaired such as the historic Masonic Temple (opening to the public).”
The event will start at MEDCO with a short presentation on the resources available to businesses and property owners of the Uptown District. The tour will then begin shortly after, with guests returning from the self-guided tour to Goldfinch Tap + Eatery for networking and beverages.
