Cedar Rapids nonprofit NewBoCo has announced that Guy Raz, the host of NPR’s popular business podcast, “How I Built This,” will participate in a virtual event from noon-1 p.m. on Oct. 1.
“Guy Raz has interviewed more that 200 highly successful entrepreneurs. We’re excited for him to share the stories he’s heard and tips he’s learned that apply to every entrepreneur’s journey,” said NewBoCo Events Director Jill Wilkins in a release.
Mr. Raz will cover topics such as the earliest days of a startup, raising money and recruiting employees, fending off competitors and paying yourself a real salary.
Attendees will receive a copy of Mr. Raz’s book “How I Built This,” and have the opportunity to ask Mr. Raz questions during this interactive virtual session. Tickets are $45 and include a copy of the book, shipping and handling and a private link to the session.
