What is your greatest professional achievement: I would say my greatest professional achievement is actually a culmination of my experiences, which have given me the ability to adapt to different environments and be effective in multiple arenas. I’ve also been able to develop an extensive network of people to help me solve virtually any problem I might be faced with, or help someone else solve their problem.
Who are your mentors: Charlie Ruess (owner, Ruess International).
How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life: Balancing my work and personal life is easy because my work/business is my life and my life is my work/business. I surround myself with people with similar passions and interests, so it’s easy to blur the lines. I’m usually 24/7 but I also don’t work at home, so when I’m home, I’m relaxed and it’s a place of rest.
If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support: I would support an organization called Mercy Ministries, which helps young women who face a combination of life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, depression and unplanned pregnancy. Mercy also serves young women who have been physically and sexually abused, including victims of sex trafficking.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you: Most people would be surprised that I don’t own a television and I haven’t lived with one in my house for over five years. It’s completely liberated me with my time and focus.
What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace: I think my generation wants more freedom and the ability to work on something they’re passionate about, rather than just going to a job and getting a paycheck.
