Iverson, Bohnsack installed to NAHB leadership roles at builders’ show

Jay Iverson, the executive vice president of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Iowa, was recently installed as 2022 vice president of the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Executive Officers Council (EOC).

Additionally, Karyl Bohnsack, the executive officer of the Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association, was recently installed as a NAHB 2022 EOC regional director.

Both installations were held in conjunction with the 2022 International Builders’ Show in Orlando.

As the executive officer of the HBA of Iowa, Mr. Iverson advocates for pro-business code, regulatory, legislative and law issues on behalf of the 2,000 member businesses with nearly 70,000 employees. Having worked in association management for nearly 40 years, he continues to face new challenges with the same patience and vigor that have contributed to his career success.

Iverson has served on the EOC board of directors and on most of its major committees. He was elected to the position of vice president by his peers at the NAHB Association Management Conference in Minneapolis last August.

Ms. Bohnsack was elected to the position by her peers at the Association Management Conference in Minneapolis to represent Region C, which includes Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.

As the executive officer of The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association, Ms. Bohnsack directs the day-to-day functioning of a proactive building industry trade association. Among its many activities are advocacy, workforce development, education and networking.

The EOC is the educational and professional support organization for the executive officers who direct the state and local associations affiliated with NAHB. The Council’s board of directors establishes policy and oversees activities of over 700 local and state home building associations nationwide.
