Iowa ABI 2024 conference

The annual 2024 Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) Taking Care of Business Conference – coming to Davenport next month – will host speakers with expertise that spans from the race tracks of NASCAR to best-selling authors and political strategists.

The annual conference will be held Tuesday-Thursday, June 4-6, at the Davenport RiverCenter.

“We are looking forward to another great conference, and we are excited to be back in the Quad Cities region,” ABI President Mike Ralston said.

This year’s mainstage speakers include: Lesa France Kennedy, executive vice president of NASCAR; Tommy Spaulding, founder and president of Tommy Spaulding Companies and New York Times best-selling author; and Frank Kelly, political strategist, founder and managing partner of Fulcrum Macro Advisors LLC.

The ABI Taking Care of Business Conference will again feature an address by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on June 5. The event brings together more than 500 influential business leaders from across Iowa and the Midwest.

Attendees will be able to explore Quad Cities attractions and tour area businesses. They include Iowa American Water Company, Arconic, John Deere Davenport Works and more.

New to this year’s programming is the announcement of the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa. Iowa-made products had been competing since April for the first-time title in online bracket-style voting.

The Iowa ABI 2024 conference also will feature workshops from Iowa industry experts on artificial intelligence, employee engagement strategies, cybersecurity, and strategic marketing.

“This event is meant to educate and inspire Iowa business leaders,” said Chad Reece, ABI Board vice chair and vice president of Government and Industry Relations at Winnebago Industries. “The networking connections and knowledge sharing that happens during this Conference is priceless.”
