ImOn Communications named a 2025 USA TODAY Top Workplace

Cedar Rapids-based ImOn Communications has been named a 2025 USA TODAY Top Workplace, an award recognizing companies that foster strong, people-first cultures.

The distinction, which honors organizations with at least 150 employees, is based on confidential employee surveys conducted by HR research firm Energage. According to a release, more than 42,000 companies were invited to participate in this year’s program. Winners were recognized online and at the National Awards Summit in Las Vegas.

“Earning a USA TODAY Top Workplaces award is a testament to an organization’s credibility and commitment to a people-first culture,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “This award, driven by real employee feedback, is more than just a recognition – it’s proof that your employees believe in the organization and its leadership.”

ImOn Communications has expanded significantly since its founding, growing from 35 employees in 2007 to nearly 250 today. Despite its rapid expansion, company leaders say they have worked to maintain a close-knit workplace.

“We are incredibly honored and proud to receive the Top Workplaces award from USA TODAY,” said Patrice Carroll, president and CEO of ImOn Communications. “From 35 employees back in 2007 to nearly 250 employees today, it has always been our mission to keep ImOn ImOn as the company grows – to preserve the culture and camaraderie that makes ImOn feel more like a family than a workplace. This award is proof of that effort and a testament to our wonderful employees who live that culture every day.”

ImOn Communications provides high-speed internet, TV, and phone services to residential and business customers across Iowa. The company attributes its growth to continued investment in broadband technology and a commitment to customer service.
