With its second win in as many years, Clean Sweep Iowa City is clearly living its promise of being “the last vendor you will ever need for common area maintenance.”
Clean Sweep was launched in 2007 by Jayne and Caleb Ryder, specializing in cleaning and maintaining common areas for multifamily residences, from high-end condo buildings to college rentals. In all, the Ryders and their crew clean 200-plus buildings in Johnson County, which the couple says is more than any other company in the area.
Both Ryders work alongside their crews, “which ensures consistent, quality service,” and have set themselves apart by leading the way in eco-friendly cleaning. That means using environmentally safe cleaning products and commercial vacuums with the highest standards for allergen filtration, as well as converting 50% of its vehicles to electric — with a goal of becoming 100% solar-powered electric by next year.
“No other cleaning company in the area has that level of dedication to the health of our planet,” the Ryders said in an email, adding that while COVID-19 required new hygienic practices, it has not slowed business down. “We have still maintained a consistent, thorough schedule for our property managers and independent associations. We look forward to keeping … buildings looking clean, bright and inviting for years to come.”
