The Arc of East Central Iowa has available a Family Resource Guide to support individuals who have been diagnosed with a disability.
The guide provides a comprehensive breakdown of information, resources and tools to support individuals as well as their families, caregivers, guardians, friends and community members. Electronic distribution of the guide will be
directed to school districts, medical offices, human resource departments, community partners and other service providers in The Arc’s coverage area.
“Families navigating the reality of caring for a loved one with a disability often find the system and processes to be confusing and overwhelming. Our intention with the Family Resource Guide is to provide a go-to resource that is both thorough and easy to understand,” said Theresa Lewis, executive director of The Arc, in a news release.
