Coe College launches online business administration degree

New degree to focus on strategic leadership

Coe College will offer its first online degree this fall, introducing a bachelor of arts in business administration with a concentration in strategic leadership, the college announced this week.

The degree, offered through the Stead Department of Business Administration and Economics, is designed to provide a flexible and affordable path for students looking to advance their careers while managing full-time work or other daytime responsibilities. Students will be able to complete coursework and access recorded lectures on their own schedules.

The program will be delivered across two eight-week terms in the fall, two eight-week terms in the spring and a 10-week summer term. The structure is intended to give working students more control over how and when they pursue their degrees.

Online students will also have access to the same academic and career support services as on-campus students, including tutoring from the Learning Commons, success coaching through the Office of Student Success and Persistence, and career development through C3: Creativity, Careers, Community.

Coe’s career services were ranked No. 8 in the nation by The Princeton Review.

Coe College president David Hayes said the new program extends Coe’s personalized approach to a broader audience.

“We’re taking the personalized approach we know is transformative and extending it to online,” he said. “Our offering will be a signature Coe experience, providing individualized education and career guidance, and one that you can access on your own time.”

The college also indicated plans to expand its online offerings in the future. Officials said Coe will continue to utilize its regional partnerships to create mentorship, applied learning and networking opportunities for students in the new online programs.
