Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a global genomics provider headquartered in Coralville, is expanding its infectious disease research portfolio with new offerings designed to help scientists better monitor disease dynamics and accelerate discoveries in biomarker research.

Announced as part of the company’s ongoing innovation roadmap, the additions include the launch of the PrimeTime Influenza Kit and PrimeTime Research Pathogen Panels. These products, set to be showcased at ASM Microbe 2025, are intended to support global research efforts related to viral evolution, epidemiology, drug resistance, and drug development.

The PrimeTime Influenza Kit is the first complete qPCR solution developed specifically for the amplification of common influenza strains. The kit targets Influenza A, Influenza A (H5N1), Influenza B, and RNase, and includes features such as an internal control, pre-mixed primer and probe sets, and a direct amplification enhancer. According to the company, the kit streamlines workflows to deliver high-confidence data on both seasonal and emerging flu strains.

Also launching is the PrimeTime Research Pathogen Panels, a customizable solution aimed at cost-effective, high-throughput detection and analysis across a range of research applications. With targets spanning respiratory, gastrointestinal, and sexual health studies – as well as viral infection research – the panels allow researchers to detect up to 211 sequences using a mix-and-match format. The panels are designed for rapid, multiplexed detection and can be integrated into existing qPCR workflows.

“Building on IDT’s storied impact on the global fight against infectious diseases, these new tools reflect the ongoing innovation investments we’re making to empower researchers to stay ahead of current and emerging health challenges,” said Adler Edward, vice president of Gene Reading Components at IDT in a statement.

IDT’s infectious disease solutions include qPCR and next-generation sequencing tools such as library preparation, target enrichment, normalization chemistries, and connected DNA technologies.
