U.S. Senator (R-Iowa) Joni Ernst has named Linn County-based BHFO as Small Business of the Week.

BHFO, Ebay’s largest seller of clothing, shoes and accessories, began in the basement of founders Jon and Stacie Sefton’s Cedar Rapids home. Its rapid expansion from operating on a single online marketplace with two suppliers to 18 marketplaces with hundreds of brand partnerships necessitated a move to a larger facility that could accommodate its needs.

From its current 240,000-square-foot warehouse at 4520 20th Ave. in southwest Cedar Rapids, BHFO is able to efficiently source, process, and distribute an extensive selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories to their customers worldwide. The company celebrates its 22nd anniversary next month.

“BHFO is tailored for success and always in style,” Senator Ernst said. “For over 20 years, BHFO has brought passion and fashion together to deliver high-quality, designer apparel at affordable prices across Iowa and the world.”

Senator Ernst is the chair of the Senate Small Business Committee. Throughout the 119th Congress, she plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
