The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) has announced Principal Financial Group as the title sponsor of the Large Technology Company of the Year Award at the annual Prometheus Awards through 2026.
The TAI Prometheus Large Technology Company of the Year award celebrates an Iowa technology or tech-enabled company with $10.1 million or more in revenue that has demonstrated exceptional innovation, vision, growth, and skill.
“We are grateful for the investment in this award and the Iowa technology community from Principal,” says Brian Waller, President at TAI. “Principal is committed to technology, talent development, and building a culture of inclusion on a global scale, and is a shining example of innovation and growth based right here in Iowa.”
The Prometheus Awards unite innovators and leaders from technology, business, education, and government to celebrate the year’s most momentous achievements in technology. This year’s event will be held on Nov. 3 in downtown Des Moines.
“We’re proud to support organizations like TAI that encourage growth of the tech industry in Iowa through innovation, collaboration, and advocacy,” says Kathy Kay, chief information officer at Principal and TAI board member. “Sponsoring this award is one more way Principal can show support for the industry as an important economic driver for the state.”
Founded in 1997, the Technology Association of Iowa is a statewide, member-based organization focused on building and uniting Iowa’s technology community. TAI advances the tech industry through engaging programming, premier events, talent development, driving public policy, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
