Knutson Construction reshapes leadership team

Knutson Construction is overhauling its leadership team with Brendan Moore replacing John Curry as president and Mr. Curry now assuming the role of CEO.

Mr. Curry, who became president in Fall 2021, has been at the company for seven years. He will be tasked with developing the company’s vision and strategy moving forward.

“As we embark on the next chapter of Knutson’s 112 year evolution, separating the roles of CEO and president among other important changes that align our company structure with both the growth we’ve achieved and our goals for the next 10 years,” he said in a statement.

Joining him on the leadership team, Mr. Moore has worked for Knutson for five years. He will lead overall strategy execution and oversee day-to-day operations across all markets.

“I’m excited to bring my passion for building empowered and high-performing teams to help drive Knutson’s success,” Mr. Moore said in the release.

Knutson Construction is a construction company with locations in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

They were one of two contractors named in a lawsuit by the University of Iowa last June. The university stated the windows used at UI Stead Children’s Hospitals did not work appropriately and had defects.

Knutson said in a statement they were working to “expeditiously resolve the issue.”
