Hy-Vee introduces PayPal, Venmo options for online shopping

Beginning July 8, digital payment platforms PayPal and Venmo will become available as payment options to Hy-Vee customers using the Aisles Online platform for grocery pickup and delivery orders.

The grocery chainโ€™s new digital wallet options are part of a recent collaboration with PayPal that โ€œaims to enhance the shopping experience for Hy-Veeโ€™s online customers,โ€ a release said.

โ€œOur Aisles Online platform has continued to evolve alongside our customersโ€™ needs since we launched this service,โ€ Jody Gosch, chief technology officer and executive vice president at Hy-Vee, said. โ€œWith this new integration of PayPal and Venmo, we can help customers make their Aisles Online shopping even easier and faster than before.โ€

โ€œShopping online for groceries, through services such as Hy-Veeโ€™s Aisles Online platform, has dramatically increased over the last five years,โ€ Kurt Campisano, Paypalโ€™s senior vice president of global markets, said. โ€œWe are thrilled to innovate with partners like Hy-Vee to help improve customersโ€™ shopping experience by providing trusted payment methods, such as PayPal and Venmo, to their consumers.โ€

Hy-Vee said PayPal and Venmo will help streamline its payment processes, expand customer choice, and offer a โ€œcomprehensive solution for online transactions.โ€
