A North Liberty-based organ procurement organization’s manager of hospital and partner relations has been named to a national list recognizing rising leaders in the donation and transplantation field.

Madeline Knoff, MPH, of Iowa Donor Network, was selected for the Alliance Forty Under 40 Class of 2026, which honors professionals under 40 who demonstrate leadership, innovation and commitment to the organ and tissue donation and transplant mission.

Ms. Knoff, who holds a master’s degree in public health, has nearly 11 years of experience in the field. According to a news release, she began her career in tissue recovery before moving into hospital services, where she built a focus on partner engagement and outreach. She was among Iowa Donor Network’s first Hospital Services Coordinators and is credited with helping establish the organization’s hospital relations infrastructure.

In her current role at the organization, Ms. Knoff oversees a multidisciplinary team focused on strengthening partnerships across healthcare settings. Her team’s recent work includes launching an electronic referral application for non-hospital partners, creating a recognition program for EMS professionals and developing a hospice referral program that incorporates donation education into the admission process.

Ms. Knoff has also led implementation of Abdominal Normothermic Regional Perfusion, a technology used in organ donation, and contributed to development of organ donation clinical triggers. Nationally, she serves as a Hospital Development Subject Matter Expert on the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations’ IMPACT Committee, according to the release.

She was nominated by Sarah Jaschen, Iowa Donor Network’s director of Promote the Gift.

“Her compassionate leadership, dedication and commitment to excellence have not only strengthened her team, but have also advanced our mission in meaningful ways,” Ms. Jaschen said in a statement.

Iowa Donor Network is Iowa’s sole organ procurement organization and one of 55 federally certified nonprofits in the nation’s organ donation network.
