Applications open for Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation summer grant cycle

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation has opened applications for its summer grant cycle.

Starting June 3, local charitable nonprofits can apply online at www.gcrcf.org. Applications from organizations with a 501(c)(3) status, governmental organizations, and non-501(c)(3) organizations that have completed arrangements to obtain a fiscal sponsor will be considered.

The Community Foundation takes grant applications from local corporations and family funds. Donor-Advised Funds from these groups help nonprofits that align with their funding goals. Each donor decides on program details, grant sizes, activities to be funded and timelines, which could cover various activities like capital campaigns, program or operating support, event sponsorship, or religious initiatives.

For this grant cycle, applications will be accepted for the following Competitive Donor-Advised Funds: Altorfer, Inc., Bloomhall Family, Diamond V, Lil’ Drug Store Products and World Class Industries.

Applications will open through June 28, and the fall grant application deadline is September 13.
