Uptown Marion – A Main Street Iowa Community will host its first Vision to Venture entrepreneur networking event April 2, offering aspiring and established entrepreneurs a guided tour of the district and connections to local business resources.
The free event runs from 4 to 6 p.m., with a social hour to follow. Participants will rotate through a series of stops hosted by local experts, commercial lenders, developers and established business owners. Spaces are limited and advance registration is required.
“Vision to Venture gives entrepreneurs a chance to experience Uptown Marion firsthand, to see how engaged the local business leaders and organizations are, how accessible the resources are, and why our community is such a great place to start or grow a business,” said Lacey Schroeder, program director of Uptown Marion. “It is about connecting people to the support they need while showing why Uptown is the right place to be.”
The event is sponsored by BankIowa, Community Savings Bank, Farmer’s State Bank and Mediacom.
