True North Restoration celebrated the grand opening of its new location, 4501 Pro Farmer Rd., in Cedar Rapids with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 19. Members of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance joined the event as the company expanded its presence in Eastern Iowa.
“We are thrilled to be able to provide restoration services to more communities,” said Katie Hillyer, co-owner of True North Restoration in a news release. “Finding damage in your home can be devastating, but our team is here to help bring your property back to life. With its proximity to Cedar Falls, expanding to Cedar Rapids was a natural next step. We’re grateful to be part of this community.”
Since its establishment in January 2024, True North Restoration has provided water, fire, mold, and structural drying services. The expansion broadens its coverage to Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and surrounding communities. Despite its similar name, the business is not affiliated with TrueNorth insurance company.
“Damage to your home can be unpredictable, but the quality of services should not be,” said Erik Skovgard, co-owner of True North Restoration in a news release. “We are ready to serve our new neighbors in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.”
The Cedar Falls location’s success led to the new Cedar Rapids expansion. Within its first year, True North Restoration of Cedar Valley exceeded its initial revenue goal by 170%, becoming one of the top-performing True North Restoration franchises. With strong family ties in the Cedar Rapids area, the new location was a logical next step.
