Best advice you ever received?

When you get where you are going, don’t forget where you came from.

What do you know now that you wish you had known earlier in your career?

I deeply believe that you can’t lead people past the point of your own healing. For me, leadership is about self-awareness, leading through mutuality, dignity, compassion, altruism and a growth mindset.

How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life?

The mission of Tanager Place is to inspire, empower and heal the lives of children and families. I am honored to not only live my passions in the workplace, but also work for a mission that is deeply interconnected to my home life. I have two wonderful children who require me to practice what I preach and help me grow and learn every day. Likewise, I have a husband who supports and encourages my passions. I believe I receive significant fulfillment in both my career and home life – for me they intersect and I work hard to ensure my energy and values are rooted in the things that are important in my life.

What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50?

I want to positively influence and inspire the lives of others. That is the ultimate accomplishment.
