SBA recognizes Nick Ford of Top RANK in honor of veterans week

Nick Ford

The SBA Iowa District Office will recognize Nick Ford, managing partner of Top RANK LLC in Cedar Rapids, in honor of National Veterans Small Business Week planned Oct. 31-Nov. 4.

NVSBW, now entering its ninth year, raises awareness of veteran business ownership and encourages communities to support businesses owned by individuals in the military and veteran communities. It also inspires business support and mentorship within the veteran and military community while connecting these business owners to SBA and its stakeholders’ entrepreneurial resources.

Mr. Ford served 21 years in the U.S. Navy in the Nuclear Power Program. He started his career as an enlisted member and worked his way up the ranks and retired honorably after successfully serving as a Limited Duty Officer. With more than 30 years of leadership and training experience, he became a Master Training Specialist while in the Navy.

He is currently the managing partner at Top RANK LLC, an executive search and diversity consulting firm, founded in 2018, and headquartered in Cedar Rapids with a second office in Waterloo. Like many small businesses,  Top RANK was impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic. Mr. Ford used two SBA Paycheck Protection Programs for payroll, rent and utilities to help his business through the economic crisis.

The SBA will honor Nick’s success and contributions as a veteran small business owner.
