The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation will host a Nonprofit Party at the Museum to celebrate Linn County nonprofit professionals Thursday, Nov. 7 at the African American Museum of Iowa.
All nonprofit employees are invited to attend the party. Complimentary appetizers and drinks will be served.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating the work nonprofit professionals do every day to support our community,” Community Foundation nonprofit network manager Carrie Walker said in a release. “The Nonprofit Party is a small token of our appreciation. It’s a chance for nonprofit professionals to relax and connect with colleagues.”
“Spirit of Minnie Rubek” honorees will be recognized at the event for going above and beyond in service to the community. Named after an early Community Foundation donor who had a quiet but lasting impact, the Spirit of Minnie Rubek recognizes those that quietly work to strengthen Linn County.
This year, 25 nonprofit professionals were submitted for the honor by their colleagues. Linn County nonprofit organizations were invited to submit one nonprofit employee who exhibits the Spirit of Minnie Rubek for the recognition.
