Ogden & Adams Building Solutions plans to acquire the assets of Delhi Lumber company based in Delhi, Iowa, the company announced Dec. 5.

“We are excited to welcome the customers and staff of Delhi Lumber to Ogden & Adams,” said Marty Hoeger, Ogden & Adams owner and president. “Both companies place a high value on customer service and delivering quality products to our customers.”

Mike and Vivian Cairney, co-owners of Delhi Lumber, will assist with the transition. Both plan to retire from the business following the acquisition.

“I am proud of our staff and the business we built,” Mr. Cairney said. “The merging of these two companies will be good for our employees and customers and I think it is a very exciting opportunity.”

Delhi Lumber specializes in lumber packages, millwork, siding, roofing, windows and doors. Ogden & Adams plans to retain all staff in the acquisition and continue operations under its current flagship name at its current facility located at 330 Franklin St. in Delhi.

“The addition of this great company and its experienced and talented staff expands our service offering, our sales footprint and increases our buying power,” Mr. Hoeger said. “The team at Delhi Lumber brings significant industry experience and skillset. Together, we are more than 30 employees and have the capabilities and assets to conduct significantly more business in Eastern lowa.”

Ogden & Adams recently relocated to its new facility in Hiawatha, Iowa, that serves as the company headquarters and design center. The location also houses some of the company’s inventory. The new facility was completed in June.
