The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on a widening project and the Right of Way impacts to Interstate 380 on Nov. 30 at 5 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Iowa DOT’s District 6 Office at 5455 Kirkwood Blvd. SW in Cedar Rapids. The interstate changes will affect I-380 from north of Johnson County Road F-12/120th Street to south of U.S. 30 while rebuilding the interchange with Wright Brothers Boulevard.

The impacts to the adjacent property for the proposed projects will be the main focus of the hearing. The informal discussion will not have a formal presentation and is scheduled until 6 p.m.

There is a virtual presentation on the proposed improvements which can be found on the Iowa DOT’s website under “I-380 Public Meeting #4.”

All comments on the proposed projects must be received by the Iowa DOT by Dec. 8 to be considered. Any comments can be directed to Cathy Cutler transportation planner at the Iowa DOT District 6 Office.
