The ICAAR Scholarship Foundation, of the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors (ICAAR), is presenting scholarship awards to four graduating seniors from within the greater Iowa City Area this month.
Each recipient received up to $2000 in scholarship to be put towards future education expenses, according to a press release.
For several years, the Scholarship Foundation has recognized students who have exemplified a deep commitment and understanding of community service, involvement and philanthropy. The selection committee is comprised of past presidents of the association.
“ICAAR loves the communities we serve,” said Paul Park, 2023 President of the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors. “We are honored to support annual scholarships for local high school seniors that exhibit the passion for volunteering, generosity and making positive impacts in their community.”
This year’s recipients:
- Shelby Kimm, Liberty High School, $2000 (Cheryl Carroll-Nelson Scholarship)
- Hannah Schiele, West Branch High School, $2000 (ICAAR High School Scholarship)
- Hayden Crow, Clear Creek Amana High School, $1500 (ICAAR High School Scholarship)
- Georgia Havlicek, Solon High School, $1000 (ICAAR High School Scholarship)
The scholarship awards are made possible by contributions from ICAAR and affiliate members. In the last five years, the scholarship foundation has provided over $35,000 in scholarships.
