Statewide conference to address housing’s role in thriving communities

The Iowa Finance Authority will host the 2022 HousingIowa Conference Sept. 7-9 in Des Moines.

The event is targeted to Iowa Title Guaranty partners, including real estate attorneys, abstractors and closers as well as mortgage lenders, Realtors, developers, housing advocates and community leaders.

The event will feature a multitude of sessions exploring how housing leads the way for thriving Iowa communities, highlighting best practices in Iowa as well as national perspectives. In addition, Chaunte’ Lowe will give an inspiring keynote on her journey from homelessness to a four-time Olympian. The event will also feature the statewide HousingIowa Awards, honoring the best in Iowa housing innovation and leadership.

Anyone interested in learning about the future of housing in Iowa is encouraged to attend. The HousingIowa Conference also offers continuing education credit for Iowa attorneys.

The Iowa Legislature created the Iowa Finance Authority in 1975 to undertake programs to assist in the attainment of housing for low- and moderate-income Iowans. Since then, the Iowa Finance Authority’s role has grown to include nearly 40 affordable housing, water quality and agricultural development programs.
