Enjoy live music, local vendors at Marion Fall Market

Enjoy live music and local food and art vendors at the Fall Marion Market this Saturday in Uptown Marion.

The fall market, to be held 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eighth Avenue and 12th Street, will include more than 25 vendors featuring fresh produce, wine, honey, baked goods and artisan items with fall flair. There also will be live music by Acoustic Amazon from 9 a.m.-noon and face painting by Lindsay from 10 a.m.-noon.

The Power of Produce (POP) program, in partnership with Iowa State University Extension & Outreach – Linn County, will cap off with a special prize for kids who have completed their passport at each market this year. POP Club provides an opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. The first 30 registered kids at each market receive $3 POP Bucks to shop at participating produce vendors. Produce tasting and other activities will be open to all children while supplies last.
