Commercial Product Manager Bankers Trust AGE: 34 What was your first job? Meat department employee, Hy-Vee. Best advice you ever received? From the book “Extreme Ownership,” which documents many of the skills of Navy SEALS: Instead of running from mistakes, look at them as leadership opportunities.  What do you consider your biggest break so far? When I was born to my family. My parents and grandparents have made it their mission to provide me proper guidance and support throughout my entire life.  What would most people be surprised to learn about you? I have ADHD. Growing up with ADHD made learning a challenge, but with the support of family and friends, I learned to minimize the challenging aspects of it and maximize its better qualities.  What’s the biggest issue facing the Corridor, and why? Every year young Iowans educated through our awesome schools and universities choose to leave Iowa for larger cities around the country and world. The biggest challenge we face is keeping this talent in the Corridor. If you had $1 million to give, what causes would you support? Boys and Girls Club of the Corridor, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, YPN, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. What’s something people should know about your generation in the workplace? What I appreciate about our generation is not only our drive to be successful at current jobs, but our willingness and desire to support our communities where we live. Throughout my career, millennials have often led the charge in volunteering initiatives and other wellness programs.  What do you want to accomplish by the time you are 50? I would love to continue my education beyond my MBA and help to prepare my company for the demands of digital age.
