Economic data for 2025 was decidedly mixed, with slowing inflation tempered by job losses in the manufacturing sector and other factors, but the outlook through 2026 is generally more positive, economist Ernie Goss told more than 500 attendees at the Corridor Business Journal’s 2026 Economic Forecast Luncheon Jan. 15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex.
