Ahmad and Mariam Shehata are the new owners of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services of Cedar Rapids, an independently owned and operated commercial cleaning franchise that serves businesses throughout the metro area.
The Office Pride cleaning franchise will provide a full range of janitorial services for all industries, with a primary focus on banks, churches, medical facilities, office buildings and schools in the local and surrounding areas.
Mr. Shehata has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and has worked in a variety of positions in manufacturing, new product development, design and business development. Ms. Shehata has a doctorate degree in biomedical engineering and is working as a postdoctoral lead scientist at the University of Iowa. The couple are natives of Iowa.
