Corda Credit Union has been named the Emerging Investor of the Year by Greater Iowa City, Inc., as part of the organization’s annual ‘A Toast to Business Awards.’

The award recognizes a new investor from 2025 who has demonstrated significant engagement and impact within the local business community. Since joining the economic development organization, Corda has participated in leadership programs, community initiatives and networking events.

“Being part of Greater Iowa City has been an incredible opportunity for our team to connect, collaborate, and contribute in meaningful ways,” Paula O’Rourke, president and CEO of Corda Credit Union, said in a statement. “We’re honored to be named Emerging Investor of the Year and proud of how our team has shown up in this community.”

Kenyon Murray, founder of Murray Elite and The Murray Family Foundation, presented the award. He noted that despite being a recent addition to the group, Corda’s involvement in the Community Leadership Program and its recruitment efforts have signaled a long-term commitment to the region.

“Corda is strong, and their strength signals a long-term commitment to collaboration, visibility, and investing in the people and business that make Greater Iowa City thrive,” Mr. Murray said.
