'Cheers to the years' will be the official motto for Coralville's overnight RAGBRAI 2023 stop, with city officials saying the race organizers receive more than 100 applicants per day.
A logo, developed by local graphic artist Robyn Hepker, was also presented April 7, as local media heard remarks from mayor Meghann Foster and city administrator Kelly Hayworth.
"The theme and logo that we have chosen reflects the coming together of these two cherished community celebrations," said Ms. Foster.
The race is timely for Coralville, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the city and RAGBRAI's 50th anniversary. The logo combines the 150 and 50 from the anniversaries into a bicycle.

RAGBRAI, taking place from July 22-29, already has more than 18,000 registered riders across the state, compared to 11,800 registered riders last year.
Riders will arrive in Coralville July 28. Registration remains open until May.
There are more than 500 daily riders who have purchased a ride into Coralville from Tama-Toledo and about 450 riders purchased rides from Coralville into the Quad Cities, according to Mr. Hayworth.
Across all cities, RAGBRAI organizers say they are receiving approximately 100 registrant applications per day.
Both Ms. Foster and Mr. Hayworth emphasized the need for volunteers to host overnight riders in their homes or yards.
"That's another way that you can meet somebody from all around the country or the world and host them and in our area," he said. "We've had lots of great stories in the past about people staying in connection with those families that they're hosting."
The city is looking for 900 more volunteers in total.
Vendors and several organizations will host the riders for a meal that night. The Coralville Food Pantry and Coralville United Methodist Church will hold a meal for 1,000 riders at the church. The Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas More Church will buy food as well.
A band will be announced April 24. Entertainment in other cities will also be announced that date.
A Coralville-specific website launched today. It will be the city's sixth time RAGBRAI will have an overnight stop in Coralville.
