What is your greatest professional achievement: Starting at Strategic Print Solutions (SPS) 13 years ago as a dispatcher with no college degree. I now am the president of the company.
Who are your mentors: Mark Shelton (CEO, SPS), Marty Stallman (sales district leader – large format, PepsiCo Americas) and Amy Hubbell (leadership, innovation, ImpactCR, international and roundtable programming, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance).
What’s your biggest passion: Giving back. I have really taken a big bite into volunteering over the last couple of years and I love it. I try and get as involved as I possibly can, either personally or through SPS.
How do you ensure a balance between work and your personal life: What’s that? I am still working on finding the balance!
If you had one million to give, what causes would you support: Matthew 25, HACAP and Meals on Wheels.
What do you know now that you wish you had known earlier in your career: Not to sweat the small stuff and to choose my battles carefully.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you: It depends on the audience. Professionally it is that I have no college education. Personally, I am an open book!
