Iowa City Council says ‘yes’ to rezoning ACT campus

    A plan to rezone approximately 48.6 acres of the ACT campus in Iowa City can finally move forward.

    On Tuesday, the Iowa City Council approved a motion to waive the second and third readings typically required before final passage of an ordinance, effectively approving a proposal to rezone a portion of the ACT campus from Office Research Park and Interim Development Research Park zones to a Mixed-Use designation.
