The Eastern Iowa Airport welcomed more than 1.6 million passengers in 2025, a 6% increase over the previous year and the third consecutive annual record.
The Cedar Rapids airport reached another milestone: each of the 12 months in 2025 set a new passenger record, the first time that has occurred in airport history.
“The first thing we need to say is ‘thank you’ to each person from Eastern Iowa and beyond who chose to fly CID last year,” Airport Director Marty Lenss said in a release. “When the region flies CID, the airlines notice; when the airlines notice, they invest in the market.”
The five airlines serving the airport have increased seat capacity for early 2026, with January up 12%, February up 13% and March showing a 14% increase compared to the same months in 2024.
The Eastern Iowa Airport offers nonstop flights to 17 destinations, with connections to more than 400 cities nationwide.
