Mercy Home Care has received the 2024 SHPBest “Premier Performer” Award, placing it among the top 5% of more than 3,200 home health agencies nationwide for patient experience.

The award, presented by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), is based on patient feedback collected through the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey. SHP uses this data to evaluate satisfaction and care quality across agencies in the United States.

“We’re incredibly proud to receive this award,” said Gina James, manager of Mercy Home Care. “This recognition reflects Mercy Home Care’s ongoing commitment to putting patients first and ensuring that individuals receive personalized, respectful and professional care at home.”

SHP’s annual SHPBest award program recognizes agencies that consistently deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The “Premier Performer” distinction is reserved for providers scoring in the top 5% of overall patient satisfaction metrics.

Mercy Home Care is part of Mercy Cedar Rapids, a Catholic healthcare system serving Eastern Iowa. The system includes Mercy Medical Center, a 424-bed hospital in downtown Cedar Rapids, along with a network of MercyCare primary and urgent care clinics.
